• Review special sounds, rhyming words, and sentences
• The students will demonstrate the number of syllables in a word by clapping
• The students will understand and apply the following special sounds and clue words: st in stop, pl in plane, fr in frog, tr in train
• Students will mark words with special sounds
• In dictation, the students will mark initial blends with short and long vowel sounds

• Revisit Spelling List#2–students will state the one-vowel rule and find words on the list which apply to the rule
